How to prepare cuttings for Hydroponics
Usually, cuttings are carefully grown in soil. When you order cuttings from a supplier, they arrive by post in special packaging that ensures the delicate plants are not damaged during transport.
Please be very careful when unpacking the goods, as the cuttings are still very delicate at this stage. Since they have all grown in a block of soil, you must carefully wash the soil under running water so that your hydroponic system is not contaminated by soil particles.
Once the roots are free of all soil particles, you can gently place them in the Root Halo neoprene sleeve. Make sure the water level in the containers is high enough to completely submerge the roots. Once the roots have grown after 1-2 weeks, you can lower the water level again slightly. At the beginning, you should also dim the light of your LED lamps slightly and allow the cuttings to slowly get used to the brightness.
